COOKING LESSONS
Sharing and transmitting, these are values dear to the spirit of the Coussau family. Our chef Jean Coussau invites enthusiasts and curious amateurs to live an immersive experience around Landes gastronomy. Wishing to share and discuss his conception of cooking and his techniques, our chef regularly organizes fun and friendly cooking lessons on Saturdays. Get as close as possible to the kitchens of a gourmet restaurant, and for a few hours , put on the apron and let yourself be guided by the two-starred chef for 51 years.
Cooking is a story of transmission
Respect for the products, their freshness and their seasonality, are obviously fundamental elements when developing a menu. Note that these courses are accessible to all levels.
Lessons schedule
Chef Jean Coussau and his niece chef Clémentine Coussau offer you a half-day cooking class program, starting at 9am. You will prepare a full menu consisting of a starter, fish or meat and a dessert that you will enjoy at lunchtime in the gourmet restaurant with matching wines.
Group of 6 people maximum
Live an immersive experience at the Relais de la Poste estate with a visit, dinner, night at the hotel and cooking class.
- From 3 p.m .: reception
- From 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.: discovery of the experimental micro vineyard of “La Petite Lagune” . Elaboration / Vinification / Tasting .
- At 8:00 p.m .: dinner at the Auberge Côté Quillier (excluding drinks). Night at the hotel.
- The next morning : continental breakfast
- At 9:00 a.m .: creation of a complete menu with starter, fish, meat and desserts.
- At 12:00 p.m .: tasting at the gourmet restaurant of dishes prepared in the morning with matching wines.
